Corinne Bailey Rae

 

Corinne Bailey Rae is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist.  She Released her first albumCorinne Bailey Rae in February 2006, becoming the fourth femail British act in history to have her first album debut at number one.  She is classified in the genres of soul, R&B, jazz, blues and acoustic (Wikipedia) About a year ago I was at borders and I saw her album, i had never heard of her but the cover caught my eye.  As soon as i got home, I put the CD in and instantly fell in love with her style and voice.  Her music and lyrics are relaxed, not overdone like so much R&B.  She has an amazing voice, that isn’t covered up or modified.
