Island Records

I researched jon bon jovi  who is under Island Records. Island recordsoriginated in 1959 by Chris Blackwell. Blackwell sold company to PolyGram label in 1989 Island is not an independent label anymore. In 1998 polygram merged with universal music group.  In the U.S. Island and Def Jam records merged in1999.
