Summer Love by Justin Timberlake is a great music video, the choreography is fantastic not to mention there is a story line behind it and you can see it unravel as you watch the video. It is still showing us that sence of high class, celebrity style living, like some of the videos we looked at in class.  Although many artists are opting to cut costs in video production it is easy to see which artists still make it a priority to continue to satisfy their fans. 

The song Ass N’ Tities by Three 6 Mafia is absolutely ridiculous. There is not point in singing ass and tities over and over again. People seem to say anything if they think that it is going to make them famous. This song has actually been played in nightclubs and I have heard it on the radio before as well. I just think that I could do a better job of coming up with something for a song that it catchy without using this type of lyrics to do so. It does not really take much intelligence to think of something like this yet these people are making more money than most teachers and other very hard working people.  I dont know what genre this song would fall under but to me is like most of the hip hop songs out, all they talk about it “blunts, 40’s and bitches.” 

Arch Enemy is a Swedish medolic death metal band under the Century Media Records that began in 1996 consisting of all men until 2001 when they introduced Angela Gosscow as the new lead vocalist when Johan Liiva left the group. This is the first time a band of this calibur and ferocity has a women as their front person.  The song- We Will Rise- is about the rise of women and amazingly enough is sung by her. It is unbeleivable what she can do to her voice. Her message in this song just states how she is fed up with being second best and how our time, women, is here and now. Women need to stand up for themselves and what they beleive in, never back down! The impact I think it should have on the people who listen to the lyrics of the song and understand what she is saying is women need to know they can do and be anything they want to be. It is often confused that Nine Inch Nails covered the song Hurt also sang by Johnny Cash but in all actuality Johnny Cash was the one covering the song. In the version sang by Nine Inch Nails there is an electric guitar and drums being played while in the version sang by Johnny Cash it is an acoustic guitar as well as a piano. The two different sounds make it seem like the artists are trying to get across different points just by the tone of each of them as well as the instrumental parts. It seems as though both artists are putting their emotion into thier music making them both authentic in my eyes. I like to think that anything you put your heart into and feel very strong about could be authentic, although Johnny Cash did not write the song on his own he still gives off the impression that he had real life experiences that could relate to what he was singing about as well as NIN did in the original version.
